Wedding Planning for Beginners part 2 of 3

All about decor and design!! Lisa McMillan of Exquisite Events and Consulting hosted part 2 of Wedding Planning for Beginners workshop with the decor/design focus - it was amazing (of course!).

Ronda Lynn Kornegay from Classic Event Rentals spoke and showed off an array of linens to inspire the participants. I loved the patterns, textures and colors chosen to display - such an amazing variety! She also spoke about the latest trends and the huge variety of products they offer to help bring visions to reality.

Windows on the Park hosted the 2 hour workshop and was welcoming with hors d'oeuvres and wine for the participants. Ragan Evans discussed the the multitude of options available during the year for clients and guests to get the most from their event.

Wedding Inspirations, Bela Dona Designs and Mitchell's Tuxedos also displayed samples of their wedding attire as great inspiration. Again, I was so blessed to have Lisa allow me to listen in and photograph the session. Thanks, Lisa!!

Part 3 of the series will be held at the Crest Center and Pavilion on November 11. See you there!!!

Wedding Planning for Beginners Part 1 of 3

Wedding Planning for Beginners (Part 1) was a great start to a wonderful series! Lisa McMillan of Exquisite Events and Consulting is teaching a three part series that I have been lucky enough to be able to attend and photograph.

The participants heard from the first guest speaker, Annette Lewis from the Baggie Goose. The Baggie Goose, located in the historic Biltmore Village supplies invitations, stationery, greeting cards, etc. which are frequently used by brides nationwide. It was great to hear Annette discuss all the specifics in creating, assembling, addressing and most of all the protocols when ordering your wedding invitations. (Thanks, Lisa, couldn't have said it better!)

Lisa coordinated to have beautiful wedding inspired displays from local vendors. There were great wedding attire displays from Mitchell's Tuxedos and Wedding Inspirations. Bela Dona from Bela Dona Designs displayed a custom designed miniature bride wedding gown with a detachable train and cathedral length veil. The beautiful floral designs were provided by Flora and Sweet Bouquets. I was called to go meet a client at the last minute, and missed out on the wonderful tour of the Renaissance Asheville Hotel given by Lois Davis. Lois is a great person to work with!

Part 1 was great, but since I am behind on blogging, I will follow up with Part 2 from Windows on the Park. Just contact lisagmcmillan@msn.com or call (704) 578-1974 if you want more information. Thank you again Lisa for the opportunity to be a part of your wonderful workshops! Looking forward to part 3 at the Crest Center this evening. : )

Brooke and Justin's month after wedding shoot

I had a blast working with Brooke and Justin the other afternoon. They were married a month ago on the coast and wanted to do a dress up session to help capture the mountain surroundings that they live in. Her anchor tattoo was in honor of their wedding. Such a gorgeous couple and so easy to work with. Cannot believe some of the amazing shots we captured!!
