Congrats Caroline and Jack!!

A few weeks back, I had a blast shooting Caroline and Jack's wedding reception party. They married in Vegas the weekend before and had a great party at the BB club in Vicksburg, Mississippi to celebrate it. It was a great night - magical by Mississippi standards, since it snowed.

Meet Miss Mae

I had the pleasure of photographing little Mae at 6 weeks. She was such a great little model. Her mommy picked out the cutest outfits for her. Looking forward to seeing this beautiful little girl grow up as I work with her parents to do a photographic time-line of her.

Groundhog in a tree

You know the saying 'you learn something new everyday'? After hearing the usually quiet neighbor's dog barking, we went down by the creek and saw this sight. This old groundhog (aka woodchuck) was resting in a tree. I grew up in several places overrun with groundhogs - but I never saw something like this. Apparently, that is something they do to avoid predators or to rest... I had to share this random photo op.

Photography Workshop

I want to thank the Southern Cultural Heritage Complex in Vicksburg, Mississippi for hosting another session in my series of photo workshops on March 2. The class was the basics of digital photography and I had the most wonderful group of women to work with. Before they left, each student expressed to me that they felt more comfortable with their cameras. They now know enough technical photography to understand what settings to work with and which menu options would help them achieve the pictures they want to take. Thank you mom for attending and taking the great photos (above) of me working with my class. Looking forward to the next workshop series - both in Vicksburg and in Asheville, North Carolina.
