Krista and Jamahl's Grand Bohemian Asheville Wedding

Krista and Jamahl were married at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville on a perfect winter day. They are both in the military and stationed on opposite sides of the country, so it was extra special for them to be together and for me to be there to record their wedding. The Grand Bohemian is a stunning venue to photograph in and always offers so many photographic possibilities. The elegant setting inside was perfect for their vows (and honeymoon) while they enjoyed time together! Outside the hotel, the wintry Biltmore Village exterior of the Bohemian offered a lovely backdrop that had them snuggling so much (and me shooting like crazy), I don't think anyone was getting cold.

Krista’s parents were their witnesses and Tim Lolley with Blue Mountain Weddings officiated the ceremony. Tim always does a beautiful job and really connects to his couples and this time was no exception. After seeing many ceremonies by Tim, we asked him to be our minister when we married (on 10.10.10, but that is for another post…maybe the next one…).

The couple looked dashing (not a word I use often, but fits them so well!). I loved getting to capture them during such a special time in their lives. :)

Here are some of my favorite shots below - to see more, visit Asheville Photography's new blog!!

Congrats Krista and Jamahl! Best wishes for many happy years to come!!

Our studio sees it as a special honor to capture weddings and events for military people and are happy to offer special rates as a thank you you for their service. Get in touch if you are going to be in the Asheville area and need photos – especially if you are in the military!

Asheville Wedding Photography - Andrew and Lisa's Basilica wedding and Crest Center reception

Andrew and Lisa were married at the Basilica of St Lawrence in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. I have enjoyed working with them to capture such a fun time in their lives. We had a blast a little more than a year earlier on their engagement session visiting her families land in Leicester. Check out photos from it here. They had the perfect October day for their nuptials that were officiated by Andrew's two uncles that are priests. Lisa looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress. The Basilica is such a awe inspiring place - we were honored to be there to capture their full Catholic ceremony along with WNC Video Productions.

The roses were blooming outside the church, and true to their philosophy of life, the couple stopped to smell the roses . Loved the moment, but loved the above shots better than the rose smelling photo. :) The couple and wedding party loaded onto the trolley for a quick stop downtown in Pack Square for photos before everyone loaded up at theRenaissance to head to the reception at the Crest Center Pavilion. The floral was the amazing Stacey of the Bloom Room (love working with her unique designs!).

The pavilion was simply beautiful with the candles and fall color accents.

The gorgeous cake - and groom's pecan pie - were made by Sisters McMullen (always make tasty treats - cake, pie, cookies, whatever!!).

Orange Krush played all night and kept the party rocking!! Can't get much better than the couple having dance contests - the best one was where they both took a turn doing the worm! Yes, this gorgeous bride did the worm in that fabulous dress!! LOVE Lisa and Andrew and all the love that was flowing that night.

Congrats, Andrew and Lisa! (Her parents have the best sense of humor!! Her dad's idea for the empty pulled out pocket shot kept me giggling on the drive home.) Thank you for having us there to capture your wedding day!! :)
