Kelly and Dave were married at the Lake Lure Inn & Spa at the end of the summer. They had the most beautiful day full of friends and family excited to see the two marry after 5 1/2 years together! Such a gorgeous, fun couple with great family and friends!! We had a blast hanging out with them capturing their special day. With the nostalgic feel of the location and the bride's classic look, I couldn't resist breaking out the film camera and shooting some real black and white 35mm of their special day. Many of my favorite shots were from the film...as always! Huge thanks to Lisa McMillan with Exquisite Events based out of Asheville, NC for coordinating such a great day! Tiffany's Baking Co outdid themselves with the gorgeous, gravity defying, whimsical, flowery, butterfly adorned cake and the groom's baseball cake!! Brown's Floral Design did an amazing job (as always) with the sweet purple hydrangea bouquets - the brides' with sparkling butterflies. The historic venue is a perfect spot for a classy and fun wedding. The groomsmen were having a great time together.

The sand ceremony is a wonderfully symbolic, visually interesting ritual - love that Kelly found the perfect color purple sand to tie into her colors.
They wanted some shots of everyone in attendance - and loved the idea of a fun super wide shot showing the mountains. I love the mega group shots we ended up with!!
Family and friends went back to the Inn for cocktails while we went to go take photos of the couple around Lake Lure and Chimney Rock!
