March of Dimes Chef's Gala

Wow! What a great night! I was so happy to be able to help record the evening for the March of Dimes - and hope to help further by donating part of the proceeds from reprints to the March of Dimes. It was great to see so many familiar faces all dressed up and enjoying the evening. It was nice seeing the crew from the Flower Gallery getting to enjoy themselves - after decorating the room with wonderful arrangements and floral details. Beautiful work as always!! Food was provided by Frankie Bones, the Red Stag Grill, Pomodoros Greek and Italian Cafe, La Paz, Bone Fish Grill, Stovetrotters Bistro, the Grove Park Inn, Deerpark restaurant from the Biltmore Estate, Corner Kitchen, Chef in Motion, 131 Main, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Young Chefs Academy, coffee from Mountain City Roasters and wines from Biltmore. There were tons of auction items from many generous donors helping the March of Dimes to exceed their expectations for fund raising that night!! Nice to be a part of something like that for such a great cause. : )

The WNC Autism Society's Run/Walk

This year's Autism Run/Walk went really well - the rain held off!! These are just a few of the many great shots we captured. Camilla Calnan Photography gathered an awesome group of volunteer photographers to help cover the event. I had Chris Bolm, Katie Moore, and Daniel Abide shooting with me....and there are so many great photos! You can see them by clicking HERE! It is such a great cause and everybody there was so great!! What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning and good excuse to be up for the sunrise! Love the bride and groom that were up early (with family and wedding party!) to run and support the Autism Society on the day of their wedding - congratulations, you two!!

Thanks to all the coordinators (especially Katie Wills) and great sponsors that made it happen!! Thank you Diamond Brand Outdoors, Earth Fare, Asheville.com, Hendersonville.com, Asheville Savings Bank, Mission Children's Hospital, Pediatric Therapy Solutions, Pepsi, and WalMart Food Sponsors: Atlanta Bread Company, Honeybaked Ham Cafe, Culligan Water, Starbucks (we were so glad to have coffee!!), and Texas Roadhouse. Friends of the run: Asheville Tourists (Teddy was there!), Anytime Fitness, Carolina Farm Credit, the City of Asheville, Friends & Family of Sara Handlan, Hands on Health Massage Therapy (they were there giving massages, taking donations for the Autism Society), Henco Reprographics, The Medicine Shoppe, Tasks Galore, and TEACCH.

I know I probably left someone out. Thanks to everyone who came out!
